DIRECTIONS

Apply one layer for a sheer hint of color or add more layers for a stronger tint. Reapply when needed.

Tip: Use one of our lip exfoliators prior to applying the Luxury Lip Tint to ensure the lips are flake-free and that the color goes on smoothly.

Does this work like the lip balms for moisturizing my lips?

While we do believe our lip tints provide a lot of moisture to the lips, if your lips are dry and/or cracked, we recommend using one of our lip balms as they truly work wonders on dry and cracked lips.

Are there any flavors or scents in the tints?

The lip tints are scent-free, flavor-free, and essential oil-free.

Why do you use Red 40 Lake?

Unfortunately, since fruit pigments are strictly banned by the FDA for use in cosmetics, there's only one natural option for red: carmine. The reason we chose to not use carmine is the inhumane production process as it takes close to 100,000 female bugs to manufacture about a pound of it. We chose Red 40 Lake as it's the only red colorant except carmine allowed by the FDA for use in all cosmetics. It's also the only one approved as a food additive as well. The total daily exposure to Red 40 Lake in Desire with normal usage is about 1/1000 or 0.1% of the ADI (Acceptable Daily Intake) in the EU. And that is if you eat everything that you put on your lips.

Beautiful, buildable color that leaves my lips soft and supple. I chose the color blissful which is kind of like having the lips of a teenager again! I also ordered the Healthy lips kit (excellent!) and I received the lip tint samples. I can't decide which shade of tint to order next!

Luxury Lip Tint - Bare

absolute moisture without the yucky taste

My go to lip tint, in 'Bare' for daily moisture with just enough color to give my lips a bit of nuance, that never dries out over the course of wear. And I can happily say the taste is absolutely neutral. I've used many lip colors where I've loved the texture, but so often they taste like perfume or leave a lingering soapy taste behind; Henne's lip tint has none of that. I'm just about to order 'Blissful', to add a little more color for the warmer months ahead.

Luxury Lip Tint - Muse

Muse has one of the deepest pigments of all the Luxury Lip Tints

This color is the closest to a lipstick due to its deep pigment of a dark brownish-red. Personally, I prefer any of the other shades as I want a sheer wash of color with the added benefit of the excellent hydration provided from Henne’s Luxury Lip Balms. So go with this color if you are aiming for a heavier pigmented shade.

Sheer Brick Red Balm

Nice color for when you want a little more intense sweep of deep red. Love these Luxury Lip Tints as they are so easy to apply without a mirror for a quick wash of tinted hydration, or you can amp up the pigment by layering over lip liner or adding a tinted gloss on top. Either way, you’ll get a non-sticky moisturizing lip balm with a sheer wash of color.

Honestly, I have every single color of these luxury lip tints as the texture is perfect, lip balm and sheer color all in one product. Blissful offers a nice sheer rosey pinkish red. Great on its own or over lip liner if more color is desired.
