There are moments in time - oftentimes unexpected ones - that truly shape our lives and take them in a new direction. For me, one such moment was in the summer of 2005 when I met a handsome and kind Swede at a sports competition in Florida. This meet cute quickly blossomed into love, and a few years later I moved to Sweden.
I’m not going to lie; the cold Swedish winters didn’t exactly win me over, but Swedish spring and summer? That was a completely different story. The beauty and easy access to nature turned this former "city girl" into a nature lover. I’ve always had a thing for modern Swedish and Scandinavian design, but I soon discovered a newfound passion for natural and organic beauty - a movement that Sweden was one of the early adopters of.
It wasn’t until 2015 that this Swedish-born passion turned into an idea and eventually a business. The idea was to combine my appreciation for Scandinavian design with the best organic beauty imaginable. No more sheepishly hiding frumpy "eco" products in public and at home. I wanted products that I would personally feel proud to display on my bathroom counter or consider an accessory worthy of taking up real estate in my most prized luxury handbags.
