Apply one layer for a sheer hint of color or add more layers for a stronger tint. Reapply when needed.

Tip: Use one of our lip exfoliators prior to applying the Luxury Lip Tint to ensure the lips are flake-free and that the color goes on smoothly.

Does this work like the lip balms for moisturizing my lips?

While we do believe our lip tints provide a lot of moisture to the lips, if your lips are dry and/or cracked, we recommend using one of our lip balms as they truly work wonders on dry and cracked lips.

Are there any flavors or scents in the tints?

The lip tints are scent-free, flavor-free, and essential oil-free.

Why do you use Red 40 Lake?

Unfortunately, since fruit pigments are strictly banned by the FDA for use in cosmetics, there's only one natural option for red: carmine. The reason we chose to not use carmine is the inhumane production process as it takes close to 100,000 female bugs to manufacture about a pound of it. We chose Red 40 Lake as it's the only red colorant except carmine allowed by the FDA for use in all cosmetics. It's also the only one approved as a food additive as well. The total daily exposure to Red 40 Lake in Desire with normal usage is about 1/1000 or 0.1% of the ADI (Acceptable Daily Intake) in the EU. And that is if you eat everything that you put on your lips.

Miss this stuff when it’s not on my lips!!

I am a makeup minimalist, and I’m all about clean ingredients. I’m also really particular about how things feel on my lips! I haven’t worn lipstick for years because I don’t like that it’s thick or sticky or dries matte, or flakes off, etc… I saw an ad on insta for these lip tints, and I thought, “Why not try it?” My daughter and I both were so excited to receive the beautifully-packaged samples, and have been working our way through all of the colors! We both agree - it’s an amazing product!! I actually miss it when it’s not on my lips. It’s moisturizing without being sticky or greasy, it has great staying power, and the colors are beautiful!!!! I’ve already ordered two more full-sized ones, and I can’t wait to try some of the other products!!

Wonderful texture

A great balm, as I have come to expect from Henne. Unfortunately, there is almost no noticeable color payoff for me. Still the same great emollient features I appreciate in the untinted balm, just not much color. I'll give it another try in the winter when I have a less deep skin tone. For anyone who is interested, I am a neutral light/medium skin tone who does tan pretty easily.

Listen, I rarely leave reviews. This lip tint is amazing! It’s truly so nourishing and leaves the perfect amount of color! I bought azalea after trying the sample pack and I love that I can do one layer for very light color and I can do 3-4 applications for more color! My daughters steal it all the time and I’m about to buy more so I can keep one in my purse and get a new color!

Luxury Lip Tint - Intrigue

Reminds me of (discontinued) LORAC Just Kissed

I am a longtime sheer lip color fan, but I'm particular! I want lip color that goes on very sheer -- the whole "your lips, but better" idea. I'm not interested in opaque color, or in any lip product with fragrance! And anything that changes color/turns fuchsia on my lips is a no-go. Henne Luxury Lip Tints are great. My favorites (along with Intrigue) are Azalea and Blissful. Intrigue reminds me a lot of a past sheer-lip love, the color Just Kissed by LORAC. (Other discontinued sheer lipsticks I've enjoyed in the past are Club Monaco Glaze, and Clinique Chubby Stick in Richer Raisin.) I find the Henne tints to last reasonably well, but they're also a pleasure to reapply, so I don't mind swiping more on. The packaging is luxurious.

Beautiful sheer wash of color

I love super-sheer lip color, and I love Azalea -- it's a gorgeous wash of sheer hot pink that suits my very pale, not-pigmented lips. Some sheer lip colors claim you can apply them without a mirror, but this is the first one I've ever used where it's true! Also I love that it has no scent.
