HOW TO SPOIL DAD ON FATHER'S DAY

Close up of sports car

STEPPING UP FROM PUTT-PUTT

If your dad loves golf as much as mine does, he'll love to share his favorite pastime with you. Golfing is a great way to do something active with dad without too much cardio. If you don’t like to golf, you can always offer to be his caddy and drive the golf cart around for him!

We suggest:
Golf balls
Golf club
More tees
New golf polo

CATCHING UP

Fishing with dad can be a great bonding experience. Relax and unwind while spending quality time together out in nature.

We suggest:
New fishing pole
New tackle box
Artificial bait

FATHER NATURE

For all othe nature loving dads out there, this is the perfect activity to plan. Pick a cool hiking route that you and dad can do together. If you want to add a little more vigor then make it into a camping trip and really become one with nature.

We suggest:
Hiking boots
Water bottle
Portable stove top
New lawn chair

MVP

Buy tickets to a sporting event for your dad’s favorite team. This might be a present for both of you, so why not spend time doing something you both love!

We suggest:
Sports game tickets
Baseball cap with dad's favorite team

SHINE AND SHOW

Most of the time, dads are just grown up kids. If he’s passionate about cars, you can try taking him to a car show in your area. Another good idea might be to rent his dream car for the day and take him driving around town in it!

We suggest:
Attend a car show
Rent his favorite car for a day
Take him short track racing at a speedway

DINNER WITH DAD

You can’t go wrong with a dinner. Show dad how much you appreciate him by taking him out to dinner (and paying, of course). Make sure you talk about all the things that you appreciate about him; dad’s need to hear it too!

Accessory gift ideas we suggest (if you want to mega-spoil him):
Belt
Wallet
Personality socks
Cute ties
Shaving kit

GRILLMASTER

You may already know how to grill or don't like people showing you how to do things (especially dad) but dad’s love to pass down their special skills to their children. It would make him feel so important and loved if you put in the effort to learn new techniques from him and let him show off.

We suggest:
Funny apron
Grilling tools
Air fryer
Grill cleaning supplies

BREWS WITHOUT THE BAR

A fun way to spend time with dad is to brew some wine or beer with him. This is great because in a few weeks, you’ll get to try what you made…if he's willing to share, of course.

We suggest:
Beer/wine brewing kit
Custom koozie

DUST BUSTER

Cleaning may not be your favorite activity, but you should clean for dad anyway because chances are, cleaning isn't his favorite activity either. Offer to clean the house for him and when you're done, you can surprise him with a vacuum that cleans by itself. He’ll never have to break out the dreaded vacuum again.

We suggest:
iRobot Roomba
Car detailing kit

WHO'S GOT GAME?

Game night mean endless laughter and fun. For those of you who get your competitiveness from dad, you may want to avoid this one. Try to keep in mind all the times he probably let you win when you were young; it'll make losing a little bit easier.

We suggest:
New board game or puzzle
Lawn games

AT-HOME THEATER

It can be hard to sit down and watch a movie sometimes with everyone's busy schedules but taking time out of the day/night to watch a movie with dad can mean the world to him. Find a movie you both want to watch (but be flexible, it is Fathers Day after all). Make sure to buy some of his favorite movie snacks to enhance the movie night experience.

We suggest:
Popcorn and other fun treats
Some awesome movies picked out. Or better yet, let dad pick!

HISTORY LESSON FROM THE FAMILY MAN

There is nothing dads take more pride in than passing down the family stories. A sweet gesture can be to sit down with him and learn about your family history. I’m sure he’d love to tell you all of the stories and experiences he had growing up. And even if you've heard them a million times, pretend you haven't and let dad enjoy his storytelling time.

We suggest:
Get help from family members and create your own family tree
Alternative: Buy him a genealogy/family tree test

NOT LAZY, JUST LOUNGY

Dads need a break too! A day off with no responsibilities is likely long overdue for a busy dad. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind lounging around the house in a new comfy robe and some slippers.

We suggest:
Slippers
Bathrobe
Lounge loafers

A FATHER TO ALL

Does your dad show more attention to the pets than to you? Don't feel bad; you're not alone. Why not make dad extra happy by showing some love to him and the pets?

We suggest:
Dog carrier
Automatic fetch machines
Cute dog bowl
Cat water fountain
Dog bed
Pooper scooper
