Teacher Visits Student With Leukemia At His Home Every Day So He Won't Fall Behind

The workday for veteran teacher Barb Heim is not done until she makes a 20-minute drive from school to deliver the day's lesson to a special student in a fight for his life.

Heim, who is in her 35th year as a first-grade teacher at Conneaut Valley Elementary School in Conneautville, Pennsylvania, has gone the extra mile to make sure second-grader Harrison Conner keeps his spirits up and his learning on track as he goes through treatment for leukemia.

Homeless Nigerian Boy Becomes Chess Champion Of The United States At 10-years-old

Tanitoluwa Adewumi—more commonly known by his nickname “Tani”—may be just 10 years old, but he’s already become an official Chess National Master, with an impressive rating of 2223.

The 28th-youngest person ever to achieve such a title in a States, Tani was only introduced to the game of chess a few years ago, while living with his family in a homeless shelter.

Dad Runs With Disabled Dog To Help Him Have Fun During Playtime With Siblings

Recently, TikTok user Jooseline shared a video of her father’s sweet routine with their dogs, including Canelo, who has hypertrophic osteodystrophy. The disease can lead to limited mobility, making it difficult for dogs like him to run and play.

“He can't exert much effort because it hurts,” Jooseline wrote.

But rather than leave Canelo feeling left out, Jooseline’s dad found an adorable solution — he carries Canelo in his arms, lending his own legs so the pup can keep up during playtime.
