Daughter Completes Bucket List Her Late Dad Made the Year She Was Born: 'I Know He's Proud'

Laura Carney is a freelance copyeditor for PEOPLE who has spent the past five years and 11 months completing a bucket list of items penned by her father in the year she was born, and which she discovered only after he was tragically killed by a distracted driver when she was 25. Here, she writes about completing the list, and learning what it means to rebuild that connection.

My dad was the king of the catchphrase. A comedian, salesman, writer and piano bar singer, he was only alive for 25 years of my life, but when I hear classic movie and TV lines, his spirit lives on.

MrBeast Helps 1,000 Blind People See Again

American YouTuber MrBeast is using his success to do some good.

In his most recent video, he cured 1,000 people's blindness by paying for their eye-surgery.

"In this video, we're curing 1,000 people's blindness," says Jimmy Donaldson, a 24-year-old known online by his moniker MrBeast, in a video which has garnered more than 45 million views in just 48 hours.

Six Lifestyle Choices to Slow Memory Decline Identified in 10-Year Study of Aging

A 10-year study of Chinese adults over the age of 60, showed that a healthy lifestyle, in particular a nutritious diet, is associated with the slowing of memory decline in older people.

The major new research published in The BMJ, showed that the benefits of healthy living were even seen in those with a gene making them genetically susceptible to Alzheimer’s disease.

Kittens Both Rescued After Storms in Unique Ways Find Their Path to Each Other One Day

Erin, a foster volunteer of Wrenn Rescues, was notified about a tiny kitten who had been rescued from a car engine during a recent storm in SoCal.

"He was found by the owners of an auto shop. The finders did everything right -- they monitored the kitten, waited for the mom's return, but she never showed again. She was probably spooked by the storm," Erin shared with Love Meow.
